Customized TrainingThe concept of customized training developed naturally as a requirement from customers to reach specific objective. With a 12 years experience on the Romanian training market, we developed and implemented a specific methodology that actively involves the client in the training process The time of standard training is long gone. Companies require more and more valuation methods for students and have specific objectives for training programs, both as level of knowledge but also according to the activities and business, they develop. Following the initial request from our customers, the PROMANAGEMNT consultants agree on a meeting with the client organization that will analyze:
Additionally, the consulting trainer will discuss with the future students about the specific activities within the company, current project problems and technologies and tools used until know and expectations at executive and managerial level from the training program.
The PROMANAGEMENT consultant will present the management a customized training curriculum that will include objective, agenda, and valuation method for the whole training process.
Following the training, the project team prepares a final report for the management organization receiving a detailed feedback related to the objectives reached at both group level and detailed individual performance During the complete training process, the process of evaluating performance, based on the Kirkpatrick model is done on 4 levels, based on long term collaboration with the consulting team: 1. Reaction: The graduates valuate the training after the end of the course offering valuable information as: relevance of objectives, ability of the trainer to deliver the course content and maintain students interest , interactivity of exercises, ability to answer questions and applicability in the work place.
2. Learning: The second stage of the evaluation process quantifies the level of knowledge and effective skills gained by the student on the duration of the course. For quantifying those results, students will take an assessment before and after the course, the testing results being conceived especially for analyzing the objectives of the training program. The impact of the training program is determined by carefully analyzing the results of the tests.
3. Behavior at the work place: Graduates generally obtain good results at the initial tests after the training, but from organizational point of view it’s more important if the new knowledge is retained and applied in the current activity, raising the productivity and adding value. The evaluation at the third level tries to respond if the behavior of the graduate at the work place is modified following the training received. Ideally a new valuation should be done after 3-6 month after the training for allowing the graduates to implement the new knowledge and verify the retention rate. The discussion should be conducted with the student and it’s manager and are qualitative by nature
4. Results: The last level of evaluation quantifies the trainings effects on the business of the organization. This evaluation is specific for the nature of activities and of the department involved. The parameters involved are quantifiable a few examples being: reduction of number of calls to the support department, increasing work productivity, better allocation of hardware and software resources.
The valuation process is a long term commitment assumed by PROMANAGEMENT in front of it’s customers. Additionally, after the training, the management receives a detailed report from the consulting team that presents the long term training recommendations for the students and if request a training plan specifically designed for each student according to it’s career path. This methodology for the education process brings major improvements through obtaining quantifiable results through mutually agreed objectives, accepted by management, students and trainers.
